Katie Taylor: Celebrating the Incredible Story of a True Legend

Katie Taylor will hang up her gloves in style, fighting in front of a sell-out crowd at Croke Park. Around 80,000 fans are expected at Dublin's famous stadium on September 5 to say farewell to a boxing icon as she takes on Flora Pili in her final bout.

A career that transformed women's sport

To celebrate the career of a true legend, a tribute edition has been produced. It tells the story of how a young girl, who had to pretend to be a boy to start boxing, went on to transform women's sport, won Olympic gold and then dominated the pro ranks – as well as representing her country at football.

Taylor herself talks about her career and the fact her Croke Park dream is finally coming true: “This is the fairy-tale end I always wanted and I can’t believe it’s actually happening.”

Opponents and iconic fights

The tribute includes interviews with the Irish superstar's opponents, including the only woman to beat her in the pro ranks, and looks back at her iconic fights, including the amazing trilogy against Amanda Serrano.

It also features those who have joined her on the journey to greatness, including coaches, her manager, and promoter Eddie Hearn.

A fitting finale

Throughout her career, Taylor has made history – it is fitting she will do it again in her final fight. The souvenir edition can be ordered online or picked up from a retailer near you from August 26, 2026.
