Toddler Dies After Drowning in Pond in Crosby

A three-year-old boy has tragically died after falling into a pond in Merseyside on Saturday evening (July 19). Emergency services were called to an address on Brownmoor Lane in Crosby following reports that a child had fallen into the water.

Both Merseyside Police and the North West Ambulance Service attended the scene. The child was rushed to hospital by ambulance but was sadly pronounced deceased. Police have confirmed that the death is not believed to be suspicious.

A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "We can confirm that emergency services were called to an address on Brownmoor Lane in Crosby on Saturday evening (July 18) following a report a three-year-old boy had fallen into a pond. The North West Ambulance Service and police attended and the child was taken by ambulance to hospital for treatment where he was sadly pronounced deceased. Our officers continue to support the family and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of what happened."
