Germany have been eliminated from the World Cup in dramatic fashion, losing 4-3 on penalties to Paraguay in the round of 32. It was their first knockout match in 12 years and will be their last for another four. A legitimate-looking goal was disallowed late in the game.
Brazil Battle Past Japan
Brazil came from behind to beat Japan 2-1, securing their spot in the last 16. After going 1-0 down, they launched the ball to Casemiro for the equaliser. In injury time, Gabriel Martinelli and Bruno Guimarães combined beautifully for the winning goal.
