Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo will miss the rest of the international break after picking up an ankle injury. The Dutch international underwent scans on the issue following a heavy challenge from Sasa Lukic during Sunday's 2-1 win over Serbia.
Gakpo forced off early
Gakpo was forced off inside 20 minutes of the match, having attempted to play through the pain. The Ipswich Town midfielder slid in on the Reds player on the centre-circle, leaving Gakpo unable to continue.
The injury is the second blow for Liverpool during the international break, following Alexander Isak's withdrawal. Gakpo will now return to Liverpool for further assessment.
