White House AI Video Features Hollywood Characters in 'Justice the American Way' Promo

The White House has released a 42-second video on its official X account promoting 'justice the American way' for Iran, featuring clips from Hollywood films and TV shows. The video, posted on Thursday, includes characters such as Iron Man, Gladiator, Braveheart, Top Gun, Breaking Bad, and John Wick, as well as Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.

The video opens with Robert Downey Jr's Tony Stark from Iron Man 2 saying 'Wake up, Daddy's home.' Downey Jr, a vocal critic of President Trump, campaigned for Kamala Harris in the 2024 election. Other actors featured include Russell Crowe (New Zealand), Mel Gibson (Australia), Tom Cruise, Bob Odenkirk, Keanu Reeves (Canadian), and Bryan Cranston, who has also criticised Trump.

Critics have mocked the video as immature and likened the White House's social media strategy to that of teenagers. The Trump administration has increasingly used provocative visuals, including AI-generated content, which critics call 'slopaganda.' It is unclear if permission was secured for the clips used.
