Sir Keir Starmer is expected to travel to Scotland on Monday for a meeting with US President Donald Trump at his Turnberry golf course in Ayrshire. The discussions are set to focus on securing a ceasefire in Gaza and ending the war in Ukraine.
The Prime Minister will visit Trump Turnberry, where the President has been playing golf since Saturday. The two leaders are expected to discuss the Middle East ceasefire and ways to pressure Vladimir Putin into ending the conflict in Ukraine.
A Number 10 spokesperson said they would talk about 'what more can be done to secure the ceasefire urgently, bring an end to the unspeakable suffering and starvation in Gaza and free the hostages'. The war in Ukraine will also be on the agenda, with both leaders sharing a 'desire to bring an end to the barbaric war'.
After the meeting, Starmer and Trump will travel together to Aberdeen for a further private engagement. The meeting follows Trump's talks with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen earlier on Sunday.
