Trump Engages in Midnight Truth Social Blitz After Davos Return

Former President Donald Trump embarked on a frenetic posting spree on his Truth Social platform in the early hours of Friday morning, just after completing a lengthy journey back from the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

The marathon session saw Trump share a remarkable flurry of more than 70 posts and reposts between midnight and 1 a.m. Eastern Time, having traveled approximately 4,200 miles to return to Washington, D.C.

Familiar Targets and Documentary Promotion

During this intensive hour-long activity, Trump launched verbal assaults against several longstanding political adversaries. His targets included Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, former President Joe Biden, California Governor Gavin Newsom, and former Democratic presidential opponent Kamala Harris.

Interspersed with these political attacks, Trump took time to promote the trailer for MELANIA, a $40 million Amazon documentary focusing on his wife. The promotional effort for the first lady's project formed a notable part of his late-night digital activity.

TikTok Claims and Election Falsehoods

In his posts, Trump repeated previously debunked claims about fraud in the 2020 presidential election. He also took personal credit for "saving TikTok" following Thursday's agreement that allows the Chinese-owned social media platform to continue operating in the United States.

"I only hope that long into the future I will be remembered by those who use and love TikTok," Trump wrote in one post, positioning himself as instrumental to the platform's continued availability to American users.

Content Sources and Continued Activity

The former president's posts included clips from pro-Trump media outlets such as Fox News, NewsMax, and Breitbart. He also shared an article from The Hill titled "The Trump Obsession," highlighting media focus on his presidency and persona.

After a brief hiatus of several hours, Trump resumed his Truth Social activity at 7 a.m. ET, demonstrating sustained engagement with the platform throughout the morning.

Sleep Patterns and Physical Condition

House Speaker Mike Johnson addressed questions about Trump's occasional verbal slips and geographical confusion during the Davos conference, attributing these moments to the president's extraordinary work ethic rather than any cognitive concerns.

"Is this a serious question? This president sleeps about three hours a night," Johnson told The Independent. "He outwears everybody in this building by a factor of two or three. He's gotten more done in the first year of his presidency than anybody in history."

Hand Injury Explanation

During his Davos appearance, where Trump delivered a speech about his Gaza "board of peace" proposal, observers noted a significant bruise on his left hand. When questioned by reporters about the injury, Trump offered a straightforward explanation.

"I clipped it on the table. So I put a little—what do they call it—cream on it," he stated. "I clipped it. I would say take aspirin if you like your heart, but don't take aspirin if you don't want to have a little bruising."

Truth Social continues to serve as Trump's primary platform for communicating policy announcements and personal perspectives directly to his supporters, despite research indicating that only about 3 percent of Americans regularly use the platform according to Pew Research Center data.
