Donald Trump has posted an AI-generated video on Truth Social showing himself wearing a crown, piloting a fighter jet labelled “KING TRUMP”, and dropping brown liquid on a crowd of protesters. The video, set to Kenny Loggins’ “Danger Zone”, appears to depict Times Square and was shared on both his personal and government accounts.
The post comes as millions of Americans took part in “No Kings” demonstrations across all 50 states, with organisers estimating nearly 7 million participants. Republican allies, including House Speaker Mike Johnson and Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, have dismissed the protests as “Hate America” rallies and suggested participants are pro-Hamas or paid Antifa activists.
Vice President JD Vance also shared an AI video of Trump donning a crown and cape while Democrats kneel before him. Other Trump-linked accounts posted mock Time magazine covers and footage of the president in royal attire. Critics note the violent imagery is not far removed from reality, as the White House has deployed federal agents and considered National Guard troops in cities like Portland and Chicago.
No Kings organisers, such as Indivisible co-founder Ezra Levin, said the administration is “clearly scared of peaceful opposition”. This is not the first time Trump has used such imagery; in September, he posted an AI image of himself in military gear with helicopters over a burning Chicago skyline, referencing “Apocalypse Now”.
