Donald Trump Issues Public Message to Taylor Swift Ahead of Reported Wedding

President Donald Trump has publicly addressed Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, as reports suggest the couple is set to marry on July 3. The official White House Instagram account shared a post featuring a montage of historical images alongside the phrase 'America's Era Tour,' a nod to the singer's Eras Tour, with the caption 'It’s been a long time coming…,' a lyric from Swift's repertoire.

Swift and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end are reportedly planning a wedding during the Fourth of July weekend. New York City's Madison Square Garden (MSG) is the speculated venue. A permit application filed with the city's Street Activity Permit Office for July 2 to July 4 requests street closures around MSG and a tent for 500 to 999 attendees. Crew workers have been spotted at the venue after a reported rehearsal dinner.

Guests are expected to arrive at 3:30 pm local time for a 5:30 pm ceremony, with celebrations continuing until 2 am. The guest list includes celebrities such as Bradley Cooper, Gigi Hadid, Selena Gomez, Lena Dunham, Adam Sandler, Graham Norton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Ed Sheeran. A black-tie dress code has been reported, requiring floor-length dresses for women and tuxedos for men.

Trump has previously criticised Swift on social media. During the 2024 presidential election, he posted on Truth Social: 'Joe Biden didn't do anything for Taylor, and never will. There's no way she could endorse Crooked Joe Biden... and be disloyal to the man who made her so much money.' He added that he liked Kelce 'even though he may be a Liberal.' Later that year, Trump declared 'I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT' after she endorsed Kamala Harris.

Trump also told Fox & Friends: 'I was not a Taylor Swift fan... She's a very liberal person, she seems to always endorse a Democrat, and she'll probably pay a price for it in the marketplace.'
