Emergency services were called to Dalston Lane in Hackney, east London, at 15:52 BST on Saturday after strong winds blew scaffolding onto a car, leaving a woman inside injured.
Police officers, firefighters and paramedics attended the scene. The woman was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital, though her condition remains unknown.
A wind warning had been in place for London until midnight on Saturday. As a precaution, all Royal Parks closed their playgrounds due to the hazardous weather conditions.
Tom Morgan, a meteorologist at the Met Office, confirmed that gusts reached up to 55mph in parts of southern England, contributing to the incident.
