Russia Deliberately Hit Unesco Site, Zelenskyy Says

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has accused Russia of deliberately targeting a Unesco-listed religious site in Kyiv, as the death toll from the massive attack rises to 11. In a statement on social media platform X, Zelenskyy insisted that the strike was intentional, contradicting Moscow's denials.

Details of the Attack

According to Zelenskyy, two Russian drones specifically targeted the area housing the Lavra monastery and the Mystetskyi Arsenal. The attack resulted in 35 injuries in Kyiv alone. Nationwide, 53 people have been wounded, and 11 are confirmed dead.

The Ukrainian leader emphasized the deliberate nature of the assault, stating, "It has been confirmed that two Russian drones deliberately targeted the part of the city where the Lavra and the Mystetskyi Arsenal are located."
