The family of Rachel Booth, a 38-year-old mother of three whose body was found in a lake in Cheshire, have launched a fundraising appeal to support her husband and young sons. The appeal, set up on GoFundMe, aims to raise £13,000 to create a trust fund for the couple's three boys, Alfie, Archie, and Ronnie.
Rachel's body was discovered in a lake at Oakmere on Monday, following a major search by Cheshire Police, who used underwater specialists and search dogs. She had last been seen by relatives in the early hours of Saturday morning in the Barnton area of Northwich.
A statement from the family said: 'Rachel, who was known to us as Helena, was a cherished member of our family. She was a guiding light whose strength, love, and devotion touched us all.' They also expressed gratitude to the police and other services involved in the search.
Police have confirmed there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death, and a report is being prepared for the coroner. The family has asked for privacy at this difficult time.
Friends and locals have described Rachel as a 'lovely' and 'very active' mother. The GoFundMe page, which has already raised nearly £8,000, will also donate a portion to a charity supporting individuals and families affected by ADHD.
