The 60-year-old presenter, host of YouTube's 'Uncensored', told Saga Magazine that the idea of 'PM for PM' has been discussed, adding, 'Why not?' He cited public discontent over issues such as the NHS, immigration, and infrastructure as driving factors.
Morgan proposed a 1% income tax ring-fenced for the NHS, but his key policy would emulate Trump's approach: threatening to tax French imports by 1,000% unless President Macron acts to stop migrant boats crossing the Channel. 'It's time to get tough,' he said.
Appearing on BBC Breakfast, Morgan argued that politics is 'shockingly mediocre' and that talented people are deterred from entering the field. He suggested paying MPs £1 million annually to 'stop corruption,' noting, 'If you pay peanuts, you get monkeys.'
Morgan praised Trump's direct communication style, saying the UK could benefit from 'a bit of Trumpism.' He contrasted this with Sir Keir Starmer's 'false promises.' The controversial presenter has long backed Trump, especially after the recent Middle East peace deal, which he said shows the UK can 'learn a lot' from US political tactics.
