The heartbroken mother of a missing 15-year-old girl has made an emotional public plea for her daughter's safe return, as Metropolitan Police continue their urgent search across the capital.
Elsa Ogunbiyi was last seen at her family home in Westminster on Tuesday evening, sparking a major police investigation and growing concern for her welfare.
Her mother, voice trembling with emotion, directly addressed the public: "Please, if anyone has seen my daughter or knows where she might be, contact the police immediately. Elsa, if you see this, please come home. We love you and we're so worried about you."
Details of the Disappearance
Elsa was last seen wearing her distinctive school uniform - a maroon blazer, white shirt, and black trousers. Police have released this description to help the public identify her.
Detective Inspector Sarah Matthews, leading the investigation, stated: "We are growing increasingly concerned for Elsa's welfare. We're pursuing multiple lines of enquiry and are reviewing CCTV footage from the Westminster area."
Community Response
Local residents have joined the search efforts, with community groups sharing Elsa's description across social media platforms. The police have established a dedicated incident room and are following up on several potential sightings.
"She's a bright girl who loves her studies," a family friend revealed. "Her disappearance is completely out of character and has left everyone who knows her utterly devastated."
Anyone with information is urged to contact the Metropolitan Police via 101, quoting reference number 2468, or approach any officer on patrol.
