Labour's Peter Kyle Accuses Nigel Farage of Exploiting Brexit for Personal Gain
Labour's Kyle: Farage exploited Brexit for personal gain

Labour's shadow science secretary, Peter Kyle, has launched a scathing attack on Nigel Farage, accusing the Reform UK leader of exploiting Brexit for personal advancement while leaving the country in turmoil.

In a fiery interview, Kyle claimed Farage had "walked away" from the consequences of Brexit, leaving ordinary Britons to deal with the fallout. "He got what he wanted – fame, fortune, and a platform," Kyle stated. "Meanwhile, families and businesses are struggling with the real-world impacts."

Labour's Plan to Fix Brexit Fallout

Kyle positioned Labour as the party that would bring stability after years of Conservative mismanagement. He highlighted Keir Starmer's commitment to improving the UK's relationship with Europe without rejoining the EU.

"We won't reopen the Brexit debate," Kyle emphasised, "but we will work pragmatically to reduce trade barriers and rebuild international relationships that were damaged during the Brexit process."

Farage's Political Comeback

The comments come as Farage makes another political comeback, this time as leader of Reform UK. Kyle suggested this was part of a pattern: "Every time the country faces a crisis, Farage reappears to exploit divisions rather than offer solutions."

Labour sources indicate the party sees Farage's return as both a challenge and an opportunity to contrast their serious approach with what they characterise as Farage's destructive populism.

Looking Ahead to the Next Election

With a general election looming, Kyle expressed confidence in Labour's ability to win back traditional supporters who had drifted to other parties. "People are tired of chaos and division," he said. "They want competent leadership that focuses on their daily concerns."

The shadow minister's remarks signal Labour's strategy of positioning itself as the party of stability while painting Farage and the Conservatives as agents of continued uncertainty.
