Fox News halted its live broadcast for a breaking news announcement as President Donald Trump verbally attacked reporters outside the White House on Wednesday, calling members of the media dummies and stupid. The remarks came one day after Trump launched a personal tirade against The Independent's White House correspondent Andrew Feinberg in the Oval Office.
Trump Targets CNN Reporter
Trump targeted CNN Chief White House Correspondent Kaitlan Collins, calling her a low-IQ person when she asked about his decision to waive sanctions on Russia. "You don't know what you're talking about," Trump fumed. "You're a dummy. You're a low I.Q. person. You're a dummy and you work for CNN."
Defending his actions, Trump claimed waiving the sanctions was necessary to successfully negotiate the release of Stephen Hubbard, an American imprisoned in Russia. He went on: "If I'm negotiating to get a man back. A man that we've wanted back for years. A man that was a prisoner in Siberia or some place in Russia then we're getting him back because of me. It should never have happened. He should have been brought back during Biden. He was captured during Biden."
Sanctions Justification
Trump continued: "When you're negotiating that - and people are saying lets put sanctions on Russia the negotiations would immediately come to an end." Trump finished: "So use your head."
