Elon Musk has called for the dissolution of Parliament and a change of government in the UK, addressing a far-right rally in London via video link. The rally, organised by Tommy Robinson, also known as Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, drew an estimated 110,000 attendees in what is thought to be one of the largest nationalist events in decades.
Speaking to the crowd, Musk said: “I really think that there’s got to be a change of government in Britain. You can’t – we don’t have another four years, or whenever the next election is, it’s too long.” He added: “Something’s got to be done. There’s got to be a dissolution of parliament and a new vote held.”
The owner of X also warned that “violence is coming” and urged the crowd to “fight back or die”. He criticised the “woke mind virus”, claimed the left are “the party of murder” referencing the death of Charlie Kirk, and argued for merit-based advancement over discrimination. Other speakers included Katie Hopkins and French far-right politician Éric Zemmour. About 5,000 anti-racist counter-protesters faced the marchers.
Musk has previously involved himself in UK politics, criticising the government over grooming gangs and the Online Safety Act. He had a warm relationship with Nigel Farage but later called for the Reform UK leader to be replaced over support for Robinson.
