American rapper Azealia Banks has confirmed she will attend the Spectator magazine's summer party in London on July 3. The announcement was made on X, where Banks wrote: "Ill be in London July 3 for @spectator." Spectator editor Michael Gove responded: "Looking forward!"
The annual event, held in the garden behind the magazine's Westminster offices, attracts prominent figures from UK politics, media, and culture. Banks, known for her outspoken political views, has previously expressed support for Conservative party leader Kemi Badenoch.
In May, Banks urged her followers to vote Conservative, describing Badenoch as "a star." She also called Badenoch "f**king iconic" in a post sharing a clip of the politician speaking in the House of Commons. Banks has a history of social media feuds with celebrities including Nicki Minaj, Zayn Malik, and Lana Del Rey.
The rapper, best known for her debut single "212," which Rolling Stone listed among the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time, has also made headlines for her controversial political statements, including calls for the US to leave NATO.
