Walcott urges Arsenal to spend £200m on Rogers and Alvarez

Theo Walcott has called on Arsenal to sign both Morgan Rogers and Julian Alvarez this summer, with the duo expected to cost a combined £200 million. The former Gunners winger believes the club can attract top talent as they aim to build on their Premier League title success.

Rogers has impressed for Aston Villa this season, while Alvarez has netted 20 goals for Atletico Madrid. Both players are valued at around £100 million each and are likely to leave their current clubs, with Barcelona also interested in Alvarez.

Walcott told The Mirror: 'We'll take them both. What player would not want to come to Arsenal? Morgan Rogers would be exceptional, but Villa have Champions League and he's English, so it would be a lot of money. Alvarez, I am a big fan.'

Arsenal co-chair Josh Kroenke has outlined the club's transfer strategy, saying: 'The business never stops. Right now there are already other teams who are trying to strengthen and come at us for next season. We've already had a few different conversations about different areas where we think we can improve.'

Villa are reportedly willing to sell Rogers before June 11 if the right offer comes in. Other attacking targets linked with Arsenal include Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Marcus Rashford and Eli Junior Kroupi.
