Arsenal will parade the Premier League trophy in Islington on Sunday, 31 May 2026, just hours after their agonising Champions League final defeat to Paris Saint-Germain on penalties. The Gunners secured their first league title in 22 years last week, beating Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park to lift the trophy. Despite the disappointment in Budapest, the club will celebrate both the men's and women's teams, with the women having won the FIFA Women's Champions Cup earlier this season.
When is the Arsenal parade?
The trophy parade is scheduled for Sunday, 31 May, starting at 2pm BST. Both the men's and women's teams will participate in the open-top bus procession through the streets of Islington.
What is the route?
The parade will begin on Holloway Road at Drayton Park, then continue east along Seven Sisters Road, down Blackstock Road, Mount Grove Road, and Green Lanes. It will then head south along Petherton Road, Beresford Road, Newington Green Road, and Essex Road. At Angel underground station, the bus will turn north onto Upper Street, passing Highbury and Islington Station before returning to Holloway Road. The Emirates Stadium, Drayton Park, and surrounding roads will be closed to the public throughout the event.
Road closures and travel advice
Multiple road closures and parking suspensions will be in place from 4am to 8pm. Supporters are advised not to gather near the stadium, Hornsey Road, Benwell Road, or Drayton Park, as the buses will not be visible from those locations. Significant queues are expected at tube and bus stations; fans should allow extra travel time and check Transport for London and National Rail for live updates.
Why is the parade on Sunday?
The parade is held on Sunday despite the end of the club season because many Arsenal players are due to join their national teams ahead of the World Cup, which begins on Thursday, 11 June. The timing allows players to rest before international duty while still celebrating the league triumph with fans.
