Mikel Arteta enters arguably the most important week of his coaching career as Arsenal prepare for the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain. The Spaniard has already secured a historic Premier League title and now aims to add European glory. However, attention will not fully shift to the summer transfer window until after Saturday's showdown in Budapest. Recent updates have provided a significant boost to Arsenal's chances.
Kroupi in Contact with Arsenal Stars
Eli Junior Kroupi, the 19-year-old Bournemouth forward valued at £80 million, has revealed that Arsenal players have contacted him following his title-clinching goal against Manchester City. Kroupi's curling finish last week confirmed Arsenal as Premier League champions, sparking rumours of a move to the Emirates. When asked about messages from Gunners players, Kroupi told Stadium Astro: "Yes I have received many messages but I tell myself that I didn't do this for Arsenal. I do this for Bournemouth. I can say I scored against Arsenal, I scored against City. It doesn't change anything, I just wanted to help my team." The teenager, who joined Bournemouth from Lorient for £10 million last summer, has impressed with his maturity and performances this season. He remains focused on leading Bournemouth into European competition.
PSG Injury Doubts
Arsenal have received a further boost as PSG stars Ousmane Dembele and Achraf Hakimi are struggling with fitness ahead of the final. Hakimi, 27, has been sidelined since suffering a hamstring tear during the semi-final first leg against Bayern Munich. He missed the second leg and is now a major doubt for the final. Dembele, meanwhile, is nursing a calf complaint picked up in the recent derby against Paris FC. While his injury is considered less severe, concerns remain if he misses training this week. Dembele has downplayed the issue, telling RMC Sport: "I'm doing very well. I had a slight scare against Paris FC, but I'm fine and I'll be ready for the final. Will I be 100% for the final? Yes, yes, I think so, yes, I'll be ready." PSG fans will be desperate to see him feature against Arsenal.
