Amanda Holden Warns Prince William Before Heart Breakfast

TV and radio star Amanda Holden issued a strict warning to Prince William after it was revealed the royal will appear live on Heart Breakfast during a special broadcast from the Isles of Scilly.

The presenter, 55, shared her excitement on air this morning, May 19, as she announced that Heart Breakfast would be broadcasting from the Cornish islands for the first time later this week.

She said: “On Friday morning, Heart Breakfast is coming to you live from the Isles of Scilly, the beautiful Isles of Scilly. One of my favourite places in the whole world.”

Amanda then revealed the show would be welcoming a royal guest, adding: “The big news is, we are getting a Royal Visit. His Royal Highness Prince William will be live, bless him, on Heart Breakfast. I literally cannot wait to make a bacon sarnie with him, although it'll be a vegetarian sausage in my case.”

The broadcaster also told listeners they would be able to follow the royal appearance across multiple platforms as the programme airs live from the islands.

The Britain's Got Talent judge added: “I cannot believe it, and you will not miss it because you can watch it live. Everything's going to be live — on Global Player, our brand new YouTube channel, and of course on Instagram,” she said, before issuing a cheeky warning to the future king: “So, no swearing, Your Royal Highness.”

Heart confirmed that the Prince of Wales will join Amanda and fellow presenter Jamie Theakston for a special live edition of the breakfast show from the Isles of Scilly on Friday, May 22.

Prince William is travelling to the islands to officially open a new healthcare facility designed to expand medical services and improve access to care for local residents. Backed by the Duchy of Cornwall, the redevelopment combines NHS and social care services in a bid to strengthen healthcare provision for the remote community.

The visit will also shine a spotlight on wider community projects taking place across the islands. The royal personally invited Amanda and Jamie to join him for the trip in a message played on the show.

He said: “Hi Jamie and Amanda, I’m heading down to the Isles of Scilly, off the coast of Cornwall, on Friday, to see some of the terrific work going on there to support the local community. I’m also opening the new wing of the hospital in St Mary’s, which will be a fantastic moment. Amanda, I know how fond you are of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, so it would be really lovely if you could both come along. Have a great morning, guys, and I very much look forward to seeing you on Friday. Bye!”

Amanda has long spoken about her love of Cornwall and regularly spends time in the county with her family away from her television and radio commitments.
