Zoe Ball Quits BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show After Six Years

Zoe Ball has announced she is stepping down from the BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show after six years. The 53-year-old presenter revealed the news live on air this morning, stating that her final show will be on 20 December.

Ball cited a desire to start a new chapter and spend more time with her children as reasons for leaving. She said she would not miss the 4am alarm calls but emphasised her gratitude to listeners and colleagues, describing the team as 'like family'.

Scott Mills has been confirmed as Ball's replacement, taking over the breakfast slot in the new year. Ball will remain with Radio 2 in a different role, with further details to be announced in 2024.
