Woman Claims Demonic Bobblehead Doll from Download Festival Is Haunting Her

A paranormal investigator who previously 'married a ghost' says she is being haunted by a suspected demonic bobblehead toy from Download Festival. Brocarde, 43, a singer from Oxford who uses only her performance name, claims the plastic mascot doll moves on its own when heavy metal music plays and has left unexplained marks on her body.

Brocarde said she discovered the toy – a dog with large, pointed teeth – in her basement, and believes it may be possessed by a spirit from the festival. 'Perhaps it’s demonic, perhaps it just wants to head-bang, only time will tell,' she told PA Real Life. 'I want to take it to the road and see if anyone else picks up on his energy. Maybe I have the next Annabelle doll on my hands, or maybe its bark’s worse than its bite.'

This is not Brocarde's first paranormal encounter. In 2021, she said she met the spirit of Edwardo, a Victorian soldier who professed his love for her. They 'married' on Halloween 2022 but divorced the following year after she claimed he got too drunk on their honeymoon in Barry Island, became possessive, and became infatuated with the ghost of Marilyn Monroe.

Following the split, Brocarde has travelled the world documenting paranormal activity. During summer 2024, she conducted a ghost hunt at Download Festival in Donington Park, where she claims she made contact with 18th-century spirits, including a man named George who she said was 'lingering around to mosh to Busted'.

Brocarde said she has since focused on exploring her witch-like powers and had a protective spell cast on her by a coven in Romania. She now plans to take the bobblehead doll on the road to see if others can detect its energy.
