US Councilwoman Accused of Sexual Bribery and Kidnapping in Shocking Lawsuit
US Politician Accused of Bribery and Kidnapping in Lawsuit

A city councilwoman in the United States and staffer for the conservative youth group Turning Point USA has been accused of making aggressive sexual advances towards a male co-worker and then kidnapping his 14-year-old daughter after he rejected her, according to a newly-filed lawsuit.

Explosive Allegations from a Post-Election Party

The extraordinary legal complaint centres on events from a post-election celebration in November 2024 at a restaurant in Phoenix, Arizona. The lawsuit alleges that Avondale City Councilwoman Jeannette Garcia offered a male employee, identified as 'John Doe', a job in exchange for sex.

It claims Garcia's conduct deteriorated throughout the evening due to 'excessive consumption of alcohol', making the man so uncomfortable he left the venue shortly after midnight. However, upon arriving home 45 minutes later, he discovered his teenage daughter was missing.

The Alleged Kidnapping and Official Complicity

The lawsuit presents a disturbing sequence of events following the man's departure. It alleges Garcia misled the local sheriff's department to facilitate the girl's removal from her home. Maricopa County Sheriff's Office deputies reportedly told the frantic father his daughter was safe with Garcia.

By about 2am, the father was able to speak with Garcia, who allegedly 'confirmed she had the girl'. The legal filing states Garcia, along with two others, 'manipulated' the teenager into leaving by telling her they were concerned about her father, suggesting he had been drinking and could become violent.

The father asserts his daughter was taken without 'permission or consent' and accuses sheriff's deputies of being 'complicit' in the trauma. He claims the incident has led his daughter to struggle with schoolwork, become withdrawn, and experience depression.

Garcia's Denial and Controversial Background

Jeannette Garcia has categorically denied all allegations. In a statement to AZFamily, she called the accusations "outrageous and false," stating: "I have never kidnapped anyone, never harmed anyone, and never solicited anything inappropriate, ever."

She framed the situation as an act of helping a young girl and threatened legal action against those spreading what she calls lies. Notably, Garcia has never been charged with a crime in relation to these events.

The councilwoman had been employed by Turning Point USA, the conservative youth organisation founded by the late Charlie Kirk, working to promote its preferred election candidates. Her background includes work as a federal police officer, and she describes herself as an advocate for domestic violence awareness.

Garcia has courted controversy before, notably when she referred to actor Tom Hanks as a 'pedo' on social media platform X, later claiming she meant the Spanish word for 'fart'.
