Video from the NBC archive shows Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein in a friendly exchange at a party in 1992, contradicting Trump's recent claims of distance from the convicted sex offender. The footage, shot for a segment on the Faith Daniels talkshow 'A Closer Look', captures Trump smiling and dancing with young women at his Mar-a-Lago resort.
In the clip, Trump is seen pointing out women to Epstein, appearing to say, 'Look at her back there – she’s hot.' The conversation is mostly drowned out by loud music, but at one point Trump makes Epstein double over with laughter. The video emerged after Epstein was arrested in early July on sex trafficking charges involving minors as young as 14.
Trump had previously told reporters he 'knew [Epstein], like everybody in Palm Beach knew him,' but claimed a falling out and said he had not spoken to him in 15 years. However, a 2002 New York magazine profile quoted Trump calling Epstein a 'terrific guy' and noting that Epstein 'likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side.'
