President Donald Trump spent Monday night and early Tuesday posting memes on Truth Social, boasting about his approach to the Iran conflict and hailing himself “the man who saved America.” The flurry of 13 posts came shortly before 6 a.m., just after the US military confirmed strikes on Iran.
Among the posts was a previously shared cartoon of Joe Biden asleep in the Oval Office, alongside memes lauding Trump as “Master Negotiator” and “the Dealmaker in Chief.” One image accused Barack Obama of sending Iran “tons of cash to fund nukes - treason!” Another compared Obama’s policy of handing Iran “pallets of cash” to Trump’s policy of shooting down Iranian fighter jets.
Iran’s foreign ministry spokesperson, Esmaeil Baghaei, dismissed the memes, saying, “We have more important works to do than responding to the U.S. President's posts or the other malicious media campaigns.”
Trump also bragged about the size of the Lincoln Reflecting Pool, sharing an image comparing it to skyscrapers, and posted an idyllic picture of “Trump’s America in 2026” featuring a home with a picket fence and American flag.
Despite the self-praise, recent polls show Trump’s job disapproval rating at 58.3 percent, the highest since the January 6 Capitol riot. A Gallup poll found 76 percent of Americans believe the economy is worsening, with high grocery and gas prices. Trump recently told reporters, “I don't think about American’s financial situation — I don't think about anybody. I think about one thing: We cannot let Iran have a nuclear weapon.”
