Former President Donald Trump has brusquely dismissed the significance of the newly unsealed Jeffrey Epstein-related court documents, labelling them as "totally irrelevant" despite containing serious allegations from victims that directly mention him.
The controversial remarks came as thousands of pages of previously confidential files were made public, shedding new light on the extensive network of the convicted sex offender and his associate, Ghislaine Maxwell.
Shocking Claims and High-Profile Connections
Among the most explosive revelations within the documents are victim testimonies that allegedly place Trump at parties hosted by Epstein. One particular claim, from a woman identified as Jane Doe, describes being recruited by Maxwell at Trump's Mar-a-Lago club in Florida during the 1990s.
Another deposition quotes a witness stating that Epstein privately claimed Trump "likes them young," referring to girls, a allegation the former president has consistently and vehemently denied.
'A Pedophile's Biggest Brag'
Adding another layer to the scandal, the documents include testimony from a Epstein accuser who recalled the financier himself boasting about his connection to Trump. She stated that Epstein referred to the property mogul as a "good friend" and presented their relationship as a form of social currency, what she termed "a pedophile's biggest brag."
These files form part of a settled civil defamation lawsuit brought by Virginia Giuffre against Ghislaine Maxwell, which has unleashed a torrent of information implicating numerous powerful and wealthy individuals.
Trump's Forceful Rebuttal
In response to the media frenzy surrounding the document dump, Trump took to his Truth Social platform to discredit the entire affair. "It is a disgrace to our Country that this is allowed to happen, a total witch hunt, and a continuation of the greatest hoax of all time!" he wrote.
He further defended himself by pointing to past comments where he claimed to have knowingly fallen out with Epstein, stating he "wasn't a fan" of the man. His dismissive stance sets up a direct conflict with the harrowing accounts detailed in the newly public records, ensuring this scandal will remain in the headlines for the foreseeable future.
