A press conference held by survivors of Jeffrey Epstein was temporarily disrupted by a military flyover organised by the White House to honour the Polish President. The event, which took place at the Capitol, was intended to give a voice to dozens of victims of the convicted sex offender and to garner support for the Epstein Files Transparency Act.
As Anouska De Georgiou was speaking about Ghislaine Maxwell's transfer to a more comfortable prison, the roar of fighter jets forced a pause in proceedings. The aircraft were part of a flyover arranged for President Trump's meeting with the Polish leader, a tribute to a Polish pilot who died at an airshow.
Critics have accused the President of insensitivity, suggesting the timing of the flyover appeared to mock the victims. However, the White House has not commented on the disruption. The Epstein Files Transparency Act requires two additional Republican votes to pass.
