Hollywood heavyweights Tom Hanks and Tim Allen made a surprise appearance at Soccer Aid on Sunday night, delighting fans with their unexpected presence. The legendary actors, best known for voicing Woody and Buzz in the Toy Story franchise, joined the star-studded charity football match to raise funds for UNICEF.
Surprise Interview with GK Barry
Before kick-off, the pair were interviewed by presenter GK Barry, who is known for her appearances on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! Barry excitedly asked, "What are you doing here?"
Tom Hanks, 69, star of iconic films such as Forrest Gump, Saving Private Ryan, and The Green Mile, revealed: "We're going to drop the ball for the kick-off and we're going to raise money for Soccer Aid."
Then 72-year-old Tim Allen turned the air blue with a joke, saying: "We don't know, I'm just b***ing about penalty shots." As Americans, the pair are not accustomed to European football. Allen continued that he was going to "try to work out how you win or lose a game on a penalty shot."
Hanks, who admitted he had some knowledge of the UK game, jokingly retorted: "You cannot use your hands."
