Concerns are mounting for a Texas teenager who vanished with her boyfriend on December 15 and has since missed her 16th birthday. Kiersten McWilliams, then 15, and Jacob Warren, 17, disappeared after she boarded her school bus. She has not been seen or heard from since and has turned off location services on her iPhone, preventing her mother from tracking her.
The teen missed Christmas, New Year, and her landmark birthday. Police believe she ran away willingly with Warren but are growing concerned for her welfare. Her mother, Rayna Gass, told KHOU that her daughter has 'no money' and does not have a social security number to find work.
Gass described her daughter as 'really sweet, athletic, and really smart,' insisting it is 'not like' her to run away. In a message to her daughter, she said: 'You can come home. You know that. So just come home and we'll figure all this out.'
Gass and relatives are now distributing flyers in their neighbourhood to raise awareness and bring Kiersten home.
