Two adults and a child have died after falling from a high-rise block of flats in Elephant and Castle, south London, the Metropolitan Police have confirmed.
Officers were called at 7.29am on Wednesday to reports that people had fallen from a height. The three individuals were pronounced dead at the scene despite attempts to resuscitate them.
The force described the deaths as 'unexpected' and said they are being treated as unexplained. The London Ambulance Service dispatched multiple resources, including a trauma team from the air ambulance, but the three could not be saved.
An investigation is underway to establish the circumstances of the incident. No further details about the identities of those involved have been released at this stage.
