This Morning psychologist Emma Kenny, 52, welcomes fourth child after losing mother

This Morning psychologist Emma Kenny has given birth to her fourth child, Ella-Grey, at the age of 52. The TV expert shared the news on Instagram, posting a photo of herself cuddling her newborn in hospital. However, the joyous occasion was tinged with sadness as Kenny revealed she lost her own mother just a few weeks ago.

In an emotional post, Kenny wrote: 'I lost my mum suddenly a couple of weeks back, and it’s really strange knowing that neither of my babies will get to know their grandparents… they would have loved them as my older boys did before them.' She added that her father died by suicide in 2019, and she 'never thought [she] would be happy again'.

Kenny, who is married to Pete, 34, now has two older sons aged 20 and 22, and two young daughters: Ella-Grey and a 23-month-old. She described her new baby as 'as wonderful as I imagined she would be' and noted that she was 'blindsided' that the baby was a girl, just like her sister.

Friends and former colleagues sent congratulations, including former This Morning host Ruth Langsford and Atomic Kitten star Natasha Hamilton. Kenny had kept her pregnancy secret until last week, when she revealed she was nine months pregnant. She plans to return to work in September.
