The One Show host Lauren Laverne was forced to apologise to viewers after Emily Blunt let slip a swear word during an interview with the cast of The Devil Wears Prada 2.
Lauren and co-host Angellica Bell welcomed Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, Anne Hathaway, Stanley Tucci and Simone Ashley to the green sofa on Friday (April 24) to promote the upcoming sequel.
During the conversation, Lauren asked Simone Ashley about a new project, to which the Bridgerton star replied: "Yeah, I just released my first EP two weeks ago!" A stunned Emily Blunt responded: "Did you?!" before adding "B****y hell!" and quickly apologising, saying: "Oh sorry, shouldn't have said that. They actually said keep it clean!"
Lauren later addressed viewers, stating: "Well, little apology for any fruity language that you might have heard. I think this clip is clean," before a snippet of Simone's song was played in the studio.
Fans took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their excitement at seeing the cast, with one writing: "Wow. Top billing on the sofa tonight. I truly can't believe it." The Devil Wears Prada 2, directed by David Frankel, is set for release in cinemas on May 1.
