A 17-year-old has been declared legally brain dead following a tragic fall from a moving vehicle during celebrations for the San Antonio Spurs' Game 6 victory in the Western Conference Finals last Thursday.

The unidentified teenager was riding on top of a car during a traditional 'honking' celebration on the city's south side, according to the San Antonio Express-News. The incident occurred near Southwest Military Drive, a popular area for such festivities.
Police reports indicate the teen fell from the vehicle and sustained a severe head injury. He was initially taken to a freestanding emergency room before being transferred to a local trauma center due to the seriousness of his condition.

A police source told the outlet that the teenager was not expected to survive. Authorities are investigating the circumstances leading to the fall.
