Mel B has suggested the Spice Girls should mark the 30th anniversary of their debut single 'Wannabe' with a reunion. The 51-year-old singer, known as Scary Spice, told the Press Association that the group are discussing potential plans, though nothing has been confirmed.
"It's our 30th anniversary, I do think we should be doing something," she said. "Whether that actually happens or not is another story, but we're all talking about it because, if not anything, just for our fans." The band last performed together at the 2012 London Olympics closing ceremony and again in 2019 for their Spice World tour, which went ahead without Victoria Beckham.
Mel B, whose full name is Melanie Brown, also spoke about her children, who see her as "just mum" rather than a global superstar. She joked that they call her "vintage" because she remains "stuck in the 90s" with her leopard-print style and music taste.
The singer is fronting a campaign with mobile network O2 to encourage people to put down their phones. She warned about the impact of technology on mental health, saying: "We're missing out on so much... It's seriously affecting our sleep, it's affecting our mental health."
