Sinitta has hit back at claims that she leaked stories from the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! WhatsApp group, insisting she has not sold any stories. The 62-year-old singer appeared on Good Morning Britain on Thursday to address the accusations, which she says have been levelled at her by fellow campmates.
Earlier this week, actor Craig Charles, 61, alleged that someone in the group chat had been leaking information, including details about Scarlett Moffatt's pregnancy. While he did not name names, Sinitta has now revealed that she is the one under suspicion.
Speaking to hosts Richard Madeley and Kate Garraway, Sinitta said: 'I'm supposed to have sold stories... and I haven't done that. I don't know how that has come about.' She also addressed speculation about Gemma Collins, 45, adding: 'I don't know enough about her, if I did do that stuff, I would pick someone I knew a little better.'
Feud with Gemma Collins
The row comes amid a wider feud between Sinitta and Gemma Collins, which escalated after an episode where Sinitta questioned Gemma's role in the musical Chicago. Sinitta admitted she thought the announcement that Gemma would play Mama Morton was 'a joke', leading to tension between the pair.
Gemma later took to Instagram with a foul-mouthed rant, captioning a clip: 'Never let people tell your a JOKE.' She also unfollowed Sinitta on social media while continuing to follow other castmates, signalling ongoing discord.
Sinitta has since criticised the show's editing, claiming the row was taken out of context. She said on social media: 'We actually bonded over discussing Chicago, I didn't call her a joke, I said I thought the announcement was a joke at the time... They edited out us speaking amicably.'
Bullying Claims Denied
Sinitta also dismissed claims of bullying in the camp, despite Adam Thomas's emotional account of clashes with David Haye. Adam said the experience 'f***ed' with him, comparing it to being back in school. However, Sinitta insisted: 'We all got on so well... there was no bullying.'
David Haye, 45, responded to Adam's comments by calling him a 'chihuahua' and suggesting he needed to 'do some push-ups'. Sinitta maintained that while tensions could run high, there was no genuine bullying.
I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! continues tonight at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
