Ryan Thomas shares final text from Jake Hall in emotional tribute

Ryan Thomas has shared the last message he received from reality TV star Jake Hall following his death at the age of 35. Hall, best known for appearing on The Only Way Is Essex (Towie), was found dead at a holiday villa in Majorca on Wednesday.

The former Coronation Street actor posted a black-and-white video compilation of himself with Hall on Instagram, describing him as always being the “coolest guy in the room”. Thomas wrote: “The moment I met Jake, I was in awe of him. I found myself gravitating towards him. He was always the coolest guy in the room, he had class, charisma, this magic about him that nobody else had.”

Thomas revealed that he used to call Hall “nearly every day” to remind him “how special he was and how much happiness he brought people”. He added that once they became friends, they were inseparable, sharing “deep chats, hysterical laughs even the petty fallouts”.

In his tribute, Thomas also referenced Hall’s eight-year-old daughter River, whom he shared with Real Housewives of Cheshire star Missie Beqiri. He promised: “She’ll grow up surrounded by love and stories about how inspiring and powerful her daddy is.” The post concluded with the last text Thomas received from Hall: “I love you mate. More than you’ll ever know.”

Hall joined the cast of Towie in 2015 and left in 2024. He also ran a menswear brand, By Jake Hall. Beqiri, the mother of his child, posted on Instagram on Saturday saying her and her daughter’s hearts were “shattered”. She wrote: “You left behind your mini version, our River, and for that we are forever grateful.”
