Victoria Beckham is reportedly 'petrified' that her son Romeo's ex-girlfriend, Kim Turnbull, may reveal private family secrets. Turnbull broke her silence on Instagram, denying rumours that she had a romantic history with Brooklyn Beckham, and insisting she was 'embarrassed by the lies'.
The model, who recently split from Romeo, said she had 'never been romantically involved in ANY capacity' with Brooklyn, describing any past connection as merely a 'school friendship at age 16'. Her statement came amid reports that Brooklyn was 'concerned' about her motives for dating his younger brother.
According to a source cited by Closer magazine, Victoria is anxious that Turnbull might disclose personal details from her time with the family, including attending David Beckham's 50th birthday party, which Brooklyn and his wife Nicola snubbed. The source claimed Victoria had wanted non-disclosure agreements for her sons' partners, but they refused.
Turnbull's statement read: 'I've avoided speaking on this topic to prevent adding fuel to the fire, however it's come to a point where I feel the need to address it so I can move on.' She added that she would 'not continue to receive harassment or be embarrassed on the basis of lies'.
The feud has cast a shadow over David Beckham's knighthood announcement, with Brooklyn reportedly ignoring the honour. The Mirror has contacted representatives for Victoria and Kim for comment.
