Richard E Grant has shared the advice he received from actress Celia Imrie before joining the second series of Celebrity Traitors. The actor, who appears in the upcoming BBC show, revealed that he contacted his longtime friend after signing up.
Speaking on The One Show, Grant said: 'When it was announced who was going to be in it, I called her because I've known each other for 40 years, and I said, "Celia, what is the thing that you can't be prepared for?" She said, "The cruelty of people who you instinctively want to trust."'
Grant added: 'In a room like this, and suddenly every single person suspects you.' He described the tip as 'very accurate'. The actor also admitted his daughter doubted his ability to keep secrets, saying: 'You are incapable of hiding what you feel about anything in life, so don't think that you're going to last more than about four nanoseconds.'
The new series features a star-studded line-up including Amol Rajan, Bella Ramsey, Maya Jama, Michael Sheen, Ross Kemp, and Miranda Hart. Celebrity Traitors returns to BBC One and iPlayer later this year.
