Rhian Sugden has broken her social media silence amid the Vernon Kay sexting scandal by sharing a topless photograph on Instagram. The glamour model, who was at the centre of a similar controversy six years ago, posted an image of herself in suspenders and black knickers, with a hand emoji covering her nipple.
The 41-year-old's post comes days after it was revealed she had been back in contact with TV presenter Vernon Kay. In a thinly veiled tweet on Wednesday, she shared a picture of Disney's Pinocchio with the caption: "A liar should have a good memory. #TwoSides".
Vernon Kay has admitted to exchanging messages with Sugden in December, but insisted there was nothing inappropriate about their communication. He said: "I recognise how it may look when messages are pulled out of context but there was never any inappropriate intent to our communication."
However, sources claim Tess Daly, Vernon's wife of 13 years, is "utterly devastated" and has given him one last chance on the condition he never speaks to Sugden again. A source told The Sun: "She is terrified there are more revelations to come. It nearly destroyed her family six years ago."
Vernon was forced to pull out of The One Show on Tuesday for crisis talks with his wife. Meanwhile, his father Norman told reporters: "As far as I know Vernon and Tess are all right. They're not too concerned. I said, 'Are you all right?' and he said, 'Yeah, I'm not bothered.'"
