Raven-Symoné Returns to Spotlight at Gracie Awards

Raven-Symoné made a public appearance at the Alliance for Women in Media Foundation's 51st Annual Gracie Awards in Beverly Hills, California, on Tuesday. The 40-year-old former child star, best known for her breakout role as Olivia Kendall on The Cosby Show from 1989 to 1992, took the stage at the Beverly Wilshire hotel. She wore a black pantsuit over a white blouse, paired with patent leather Prada loafers.

Introducing Stevie Wonder

The five-time Emmy nominee introduced legendary singer Stevie Wonder, who surprised the audience by honoring journalist Adai Lamar for her coverage of the 2025 Los Angeles wildfires. The event celebrated women in media.

Bill Cosby Controversy

In November 2024, Raven-Symoné faced backlash for comments about Bill Cosby, saying one must "separate the creator from the creation" regarding his sexual assault allegations. On the Hate to Break It to Ya podcast, she stated, "The creation changed America. Changed television... He's also been accused of some horrific things. That does not excuse, but that's his personal [life]." Cosby, 88, was convicted in 2018 and jailed, but his conviction was overturned in 2021. Recently, a civil jury awarded Donna Motsinger $59.25 million in damages for an alleged assault in 1972.
