A new biography, 'Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the Yorks' by Andrew Lownie, has reignited scrutiny of Prince Andrew with a series of explosive allegations. The book claims the Duke of York has slept with more than 1,000 women and details an encounter with a 20-year-old model who alleged he engaged in kinky sexual activity, telling her he had an open marriage with ex-wife Sarah Ferguson.
The biography also alleges a physical altercation between Prince Andrew and Prince Harry in 2013, during which Harry reportedly left his uncle with a bloody nose. It further claims Andrew told Harry his marriage to Meghan Markle would not last a month and accused the Duchess of being an opportunist. A spokesman for the Duke of Sussex has denied the fight ever occurred and said Andrew never made those comments.
Another claim in the book, serialised in the Daily Mail, is that Prince William has worked behind the scenes to evict Andrew from Royal Lodge, the Windsor home he shares with Ferguson. The author writes that William believes Andrew is abusing the property and his privilege there. King Charles reportedly severed Andrew's £1 million annual allowance last year, increasing eviction pressure.
The book quotes the late convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein as telling Andrew, 'We are both serial sex addicts,' and claiming Andrew was 'the most perverted animal in the bedroom.' It also alleges that during a 2006 visit to Bangkok for the King of Thailand's diamond jubilee, more than 40 women were taken to Andrew's hotel room. Andrew denies all allegations.
According to a YouGov poll from the second quarter of 2025, only 9% of Britons hold a favourable view of the prince, prompting renewed questions over whether he should retain his titles. The book is set for release on August 14.
