Piers Morgan launched a fresh attack on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle after reports claimed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will make their first “official” joint outing since their move back to the UK.
People Magazine sparked fury online with the claim, and social media users pointed out that as the Sussexes are no longer working royals, they are not allowed to work in any official capacity.
Community note added
When the news was announced on X, a community note was quickly added which read: “Harry and Meghan’s joint visits are not official royal engagements. A letter from the Lord Chamberlain on King Charles’ behalf, issued after their return to the UK, said their charitable work ‘is a personal matter to them both and undertaken in their private capacity’.”
Ex-GMB star Piers was keen to jump on the bandwagon as he tweeted in response: “They’re not doing anything ‘official’ – they’re a pair of unofficial grifters exploiting their royal titles in the most shameless manner.”
Piers Morgan Uncensored launches subscriptions
It comes after Piers was handed another win after storming off Good Morning Britain over a row about Meghan. He famously quit the ITV show and refused to come back after arguing about her interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021.
Now Piers Morgan Uncensored, the YouTube show he launched after quitting, is launching its first paid subscription product.
The company is rolling out four weekly newsletters – Piers Morgan Uncensored, History Uncensored, The Royals Uncensored and Football Uncensored.
The move aims to convert some of Piers’ audience into paying members – around 2-4%.
Subscription pricing and valuation
Subscriptions are charged per vertical, with each one costing $4.99 per month or $49.99 a year. For the first 30 days, a discounted annual plan of $29.99 will be offered.
Uncensored’s chief executive Rashida Jones said: “We have a very premium experience in our free tier. The subscriptions will appeal to people who are looking for more content, ad-free content, and earlier content. We think this is additive.”
Uncensored was valued at $145million in June 2026, after raising $27million in a round of investment led by Raine Ventures and Antenna Group.
