Teen Arrested After Oklahoma Lake Party Shooting Kills One, Injures 22

An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a mass shooting at a lake party in Oklahoma that left one woman dead and 22 others injured, police announced on Wednesday. The suspect, Jaylan A Davis, was taken into custody on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon, which is being upgraded to felony murder.

The shooting occurred on Sunday night at Arcadia Lake in Edmond, a suburb of Oklahoma City. Police Chief JD Younger said the incident began with an argument between two women and escalated into an altercation between rival gang members. More than 80 rounds were fired, with multiple people discharging weapons.

The deceased victim has been identified as 18-year-old Avianna Smith-Gray. Among the injured, six are juveniles, some as young as 15. Davis turned himself in after a warrant was issued and is being held on a $1m bond. Police believe at least one more suspect is involved.
