Prosecutors in Ghislaine Maxwell’s trial have presented previously unseen photographs linking the British socialite to paedophile Jeffrey Epstein. The images, seized by the FBI during a 2019 raid on Epstein’s Manhattan home, include shots of the pair embracing and a framed photo of them kissing.
The evidence was shown as a third accuser testified that Maxwell, 59, arranged paid “massages” for Epstein that turned sexual. The witness, known as Carolyn, said she was introduced to the wealthy duo at age 14 and had multiple sexual encounters with Epstein until she turned 18.
The digital trove also contained photographs of two of Maxwell’s accusers in various states of undress, parts of Epstein’s Florida mansion, and a “help wanted” flyer for massage therapists. A document found on a hard drive described Maxwell and Epstein as “rarely apart” and “partners” as well as “best of friends”.
Carolyn told the court she visited Epstein’s home more than a hundred times, sometimes three times a week. She said Maxwell would pay her each time, and paid extra when she brought friends. She recalled being invited to Epstein’s private island at 14 but refused because she had no passport.
Maxwell has pleaded not guilty to sex trafficking and seven other charges. Her defence lawyers argue she is being scapegoated for Epstein’s crimes. Epstein died in jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges.
