Newsom Challenges Trump To Cognitive Test Over Sea Vs See

California Governor Gavin Newsom has challenged President Donald Trump to a live cognitive test on national television after the president confused the words 'sea' and 'see' during a White House event.

Speaking at a Mother's Day event on Wednesday, Trump discussed drug trafficking and said: 'You see drug traffic coming into our country is way down. And by sea, by sea, by ocean, by the water. You know a lot of people say "what do you mean by sea?" Is it see, like vision? No it's sea, S-E-A.'

Newsom responded on X, mimicking Trump's all-caps style: 'LITTLE D'S BRAIN IS DECLINING RAPIDLY IN REAL TIME. TODAY HE WAS CONFUSED BY THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN "SEE" AND "SEA." VERY SAD!' He added: 'I HEREBY CHALLENGE GRANDPA TO A LIVE COGNITIVE TEST ON NATIONAL TELEVISION,' proposing Fox News host Sean Hannity as moderator and offering the president three lifelines.

White House spokesman Davis Ingle hit back, calling Newsom 'the worst governor in America' and 'the dumbest,' and accusing Democrats of covering up Joe Biden's mental decline.

The exchange is the latest in a series of clashes between the two politicians. Newsom, a potential 2028 presidential candidate, has previously called Trump a 'moron' and a 'HISTORIC LOSER,' while Trump has described Newsom as 'low-IQ' and 'incompetent.'
