Netflix's The Witness: Happy Valley and Peaky Blinders Stars Lead True Crime Drama

Netflix's latest true crime drama, The Witness, features a star-studded cast including actors from Happy Valley, Peaky Blinders, and Rivals. The three-part series explores the 1992 murder of Rachel Nickell on Wimbledon Common and its lasting impact on her family.

Jordan Bolger, known for his role as Isiah in Peaky Blinders, plays Andre Hanscombe, Rachel's partner and father to their son Alex. Max Fincham portrays teenage Alex, the sole witness to the attack, while Kerry Godliman, star of After Life and Trigger Point, plays grandmother June.

Neil Maskell, who appeared in Peaky Blinders as Winston Churchill, takes on the role of DI Keith Pedder, the lead investigator. Mark Stanley, recognised for his role as Rob Hepworth in Happy Valley, plays DS Ivan Agnew, who reopens the case in 2002.

The cast also includes Jon Pointing (Big Boys) as DC Nick Sparshatt, and Claire Rushbrook (Rivals) as Dr Jean Harris-Hendriks, who supports young Alex. The Witness is now streaming on Netflix.
