Netflix fans have been left baffled by the streamer’s decision to renew crime comedy Big Mistakes for a second season. The show, created by and starring Dan Levy, premiered last month and follows two bickering siblings blackmailed into organised crime.
The renewal announcement was met with mixed reactions on social media. One subscriber commented, “Not canceling the show was a bigger mistake,” while another said, “This series is more of a flop than XO Kitty, and already got a renewal? Y’all will tank.” Others expressed surprise given the show’s mid-season rating reports.
Despite the criticism, Big Mistakes holds a 79% score on Rotten Tomatoes, and some fans said they “absolutely loved” it. Dan Levy shared a video on X confirming the news, saying, “It’s on! It’s greenlit. We’ve been secretly writing season two, and I can assure you bigger mistakes are made.”
