Nasa UFO Report Finds No Alien Evidence but Cannot Rule It Out

Nasa's long-awaited report into hundreds of UFO sightings has concluded there is no evidence of extraterrestrial involvement, but the space agency has not ruled out the possibility. The 36-page study, released on Thursday, outlines how Nasa will investigate Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) using improved technology and artificial intelligence.

Nasa administrator Bill Nelson said the agency will take the lead in researching UAP incidents and share data with greater transparency. The report states that 'there is no reason to conclude' that extraterrestrial sources are behind the sightings, but acknowledges that if such a possibility exists, those objects must have travelled through our solar system to reach Earth.

Nasa has appointed a new director of UAP research, whose identity remains undisclosed due to security concerns. Dr Daniel Evans, Nasa's Assistant Deputy Associate Administrator for Research, revealed that panel members had received 'actual threats', influencing the decision to keep the director's name private.

The report emphasises the importance of artificial intelligence and machine learning as 'essential tools' for identifying UAPs. It also highlights the public's role in data collection, proposing the use of open-source smartphone apps and metadata from citizen observers worldwide to address the current lack of standardised reporting systems.

When questioned about alleged alien corpses presented to Mexican authorities, Nasa scientist Dr David Spergel urged that samples be made available to the global scientific community for verification. The authenticity of the specimens has been met with widespread scepticism.
